It is the season of festivals and there is a spell of merriment and joy all around. Gifts, spending time with loved ones, happiness, joy and lots of delightful sweets and cuisines makes this season a favourite of all; from kids to elders. However, by the end of the season, while following the customs and traditions of exchanging sweets and chocolates, we see our home filled with so many chocolates and sweets that makes us think what to do with them now. So, if you are scratching your brains and thinking what to do with the stack of chocolates gifted to you this festive season, then do not worry anymore. Here, we bring to you some interesting DIY tips to use the Chocolates in the yummiest and pleasing way.

Let’s have a look at the delightful and scrumptious DIY leftover chocolate recipes.

1. Chocolate Sauce


Chocolates are loved by all and the season of festivities give us many reasons to indulge our taste buds in the chilling tastes and flavours of Ice Cream with a touch of homemade chocolate sauce.

-To make it at home you would require
-Chocolate (Dark Chocolate works wonder in this case)
-Double Cream
-Caster Sugar and
-Disaronno liqueur (optional).

-To begin the process, melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water until it becomes completely smooth.
-The next step is to heat all the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan until they are evenly combined.
-Once this is done, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir through the melted chocolate.

Now, you can serve the warm chocolate with chocolate pudding, vanilla ice cream, pancakes or anything you like.

2. Cinnamon Choc Chip Friands


If you like to experiment with your cooking skills, then this would be the perfect option.

-The ingredients required to make this recipe includes Unsalted
-Icing Sugar
-Flour, Almonds
-Cinnamon and

-To prepare this recipe the first step is to take Melted unsalted butter and put it aside to cool a little
-whisk two egg whites until they become frothy but not stiff
-Then fold them in melted butter
-Once all this is done, gently stir sifted icing sugar, sifted flour, ground almonds, and cinnamon
-Then add the chopped chocolate (preferably Dark Chocolate).

Divide the mixture between buttered muffin moulds, sprinkle a few fake almonds on the top and then bake it at 180 C for 22 minutes (you can also extend the time accordingly). After that place it in a pan to cool and decorate it with icing sugar.

3. Chocolate Cupcake


Chocoholics would surely love this one because it is as delightful as it looks. Once you know how to make them you will have infinite options of filling them with peanuts, candy, ice cream and many more stuff

-Pastry Brush or any Brush
-Cupcake liner and
-sprinklers (Optional)

-The first step is to chop the chocolate which will help in melting it faster and more evenly.
-Melt the chocolate on the stove or microwave. If you are melting it in the microwave, then do it for 30 seconds and if on a gas stove, then use a double   boiler to melt the chocolate.
-Fill the bottom of the double boiler with water about ½ inch from top of the pan, boil on low heat and stir continuously until the chocolate is melted
-Once the melting part is done, you can start filling the cups and use a pastry brush or any other brush to coat the bottom and sides of the inside of the   cupcake liner with chocolate
-First freeze the chocolate for 30 minutes, which will allow it to be firm.

Remove the liners and serve it after filling the top with sprinklers.

4. Chocolate Cookies


Who doesn’t love Chocolate cookies that too made at home?

-So, to make delicious Chocolate Cookie at home you would need Baking spread/Butter
-light brown muscovado sugar
-Plain flour, almonds
-Golden Syrup
-Milk and
-Chocolate bars

-Begin the process with pre-heating the oven to 180C, soften the baking spread
-Add sugar and mix until it becomes creamy and light, then add Golden Syrup, almonds and flour and mix until they come together
-Once, all of it is done, add milk, one tablespoon at a time until the dough becomes consistent
-You can add chocolate accordingly, then place some baking paper onto a tray and place some balls on the cookie dough
-Bake them for minimum 8-12 minutes depending on the size of the cookies
-Once the heating is done, remove them from tray immediately and let them cool and then serve.
